8 ball - Foul

1. If any object ball jumps off the table, the opponent can choose to either continue the shot or have a free ball (ball in hand) instead. The object ball has to be placed on the head string. However, if the number 8 jumps off the table, you lose the game.

2. You have to contact your own solid or stripe ball first when you make a shot; otherwise you cause a foul.

3. You can not to hit the numbered 8 ball in a combination, like a Kiss, or you might lose the game. This depends on the rules you are playing.

4. When you shoot at the number 8 ball, and you make a foul or the cue ball goes into the pocket, you don't lose the game as long as the 8 ball is not pocketed or off the table. Your opponent gains a chance for a free ball.

5. You might lose the game if you don't call the pocket for the 8 ball. This depends on the rules you are playing.
